The Lock-n-Haul is a great product! It is easy to take on or off and holds my YAMAHA SHO 250 solid rolling down the highway. I store it in the in the rear compartment of my new Legend making it an easy grab to get ready to roll. The Lock-n-Haul is light weight and takes up basically no space. It is definitely a must have in my book!

OK, my boat dealer (Boats Unlimited in Baton Rouge) made it easy for me. Sense they sell them now, she let me take one to try on my boat. 2006 Yamaha 90 4-stroke, it doesn't have the ideal pockets on the bracket to sit in but, it does work. After a 200 mile round trip on bad South Louisiana roads yesterday it stayed in place. After seeing the difference it makes I would say anyone using a traditional transom saver attached to the trailer would be better off not using anything at all. All the shaking truly does come from the trailer. Seeing is believing!

Running a Yamaha 250 on a Ranger 521. Ordered your lock and haul a couple weeks back and all I can say is thanks. This is much better than the transom saver that there is not even a fair comparison. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you promote this product. Again Thanks Don Dickerson

| I wanted to take a minute and give a special thanks to Jim with Lock-n-haul transom savers. He helped on my recent group trip and is a stellar individual. Most importantly, his product is incredible. First, let me say that I am not sponsored by Jim and paid retail for my Lock-n-Haul. I have been using a regular transom bar and let me tell you, I wish I had switched sooner. The problem with a standard bar is that it puts a lot of stress on your lower unit and they cause the paint to fail (my pet peeve) which only gets worse over time. The Lock-n-haul is lightweight, easy to use, and won't stress the lower unit or ruin the paint on your motor. For around $60 I highly recommend you get one!!! | "I just got back to Nebraska and installed a custom pin to use your Lock-n-Haul device as you suggested. I must say I am extremely pleased with its design. It works very well with the pin I made. I purchased a 5/8" pin and used a cap nut on one side and a removable pin on the other. It’s just an axel pin I purchased at the Academy sports store. It can be removed as easy as the Lock-n-Haul but it’s the second to last pin hole on the motor so I might just leave it installed. I don’t think it will affect the performance of the motor. If I find it does, I will remove it and keep it with the the Lock-n-Haul. Thank you for designing such a good product. After the installation, I noticed a major decline in trailer noise. The motor also remains stationary with no movement like the old saver I used before. It is so much easier to install and remove - good job! In addition, thank you for meeting me at Bass Pro as it saved a few dollars on shipping. The Lock-n-Haul is an extremely good design, made of good materials and is very reasonably priced. I am so pleased with its design, I will be personally advertizing your product to other boaters with outboards." |

"I own an Evinrude 225 H.O E-TEC. I have always had problems with it turning or “falling over” and resting on the steering hydraulics’ using the factory engine tilt lock while trailering my boat. I have seen PVC clips that snap onto the steering hydraulic rods, but these again place stress on this expensive system which I was trying to avoid. My boat dealer said Evinrude does not recommend using the bar type transom savers because it places too much pressure on the engine’s lower unit. I was stuck with my motor falling over and no solution. That was until I purchased your Lock-n-haul unit a year ago and it solved all my problems. There is no stress on my hydraulics’ and it drastically cuts down on the time needed to ready my boat to launch or trailer. It is extremely easy to install and remove and it is very small and compact and stores just about anywhere. Thanks you very much for inventing a better mouse trap."

"Bought my Lock-n-Haul over the winter and finally have been able to use it the past 6 weeks. Love it and it stays put when trailering and we have some pretty rough roads up here in Ohio. It's about time somebody desigend something for Yamaha motors that works the right way"

"Excellent product Jim. I use it on a 250 ProXS and it handles the gnarly roads, RR tracks, etc. Takes maybe 5 mins to set up - and I like the strength and small size. BTW my old school last 'motor toter' bounced off the trailer connection (stayed on motor) and jacked the motor when the bracket end hit the road and blew out the main ram top bracket and seals. Do the math."

"Great product, worked great, I can get rid of my 4.5' transom saver bar. Probably gonna order another one for back up"

"Absolutely love the Lock-n-Haul. Holds motor very steady during travel, no shaking, no movement. Extremely light weight and conveniently small to easily store."

"After spending way too much time trying to find a support for my Mercury 115 Optimax and trying to make something myself, I came across the Lock-n-Haul. This is one of those products that is simple yet works perfectly. It took about 2 minutes to adjust for my application and has worked flawlessly ever since."

"Jim, nice product.. Have been using with my Ranger 520 and Yamaha 225 HPDI for a couple of months. I used the larger white one sold by one of your competitors for about a year but didn't like how it would not clear the mounting location on a Yamaha. Your product solves this issue."
Doug Denton - Clayton, North Carolina

"Thank you for the upgrades to my Lock-n-Haul and the clear concise instructions on how to install them. This unit works like a charm and does just what it was designed to do. I am very happy with your product and the upgrades that were sent free of charge. Good luck to you, Jim and those who provided input to make this product even a greater investment."

"Jim, being an owner of Ranger Z-Series Boats with their built in Jack Plates and then along with the extra 8” plate I have mounted I love your Lock-n-Haul. The typical transom saver just does not work well with the length required to get down to the trailer & then where do you store it when removed. Your system is not only easy to mount providing protection, but when I remove it I can store it anywhere. Love the size & the way it works on my Etec 250 HO!!! Thanks for making a great & user friendly product."

"Purchased Lock-n-Haul for my 01 225 Evinrude. Product works great, used to use the factory brace, but motor kept tilting. Lock-n-Haul keeps it from tilting side to side and is very sturdy. I would absolutely recommend this device."

"Jim, I am quite impressed with the Lock-n-Haul. I have used it for almost 2 months and my motor has never been so secure. The motor doesn't shake, rattle or turn. It is an outstanding product."

“I switched from a standard transom saver to a lock-n-haul and I’m VERY impressed with this device. It really locks the motor down and stops all sideways movement. I would 100% recommend this product! Both friends and my mechanic were impressed and are also looking to purchase one for their boats.“
John Henry - Ontario, Canada

“I am completely satisfied with my unit and wanted to know if you had any decals, etc. to put on my boat windshield and/or my GMC Yukon ? My boat is a 21 TRX Triton with a 250 mercury.”

"I think the Lock-n-Haul is an excellent design. With its small size but very strong structure its easy to handle and does not take up hardly any space. I broke two transom savers before switching the the Lock n Haul and have not had one issue with and its nice that my lower unit is no longer taking all of the road shock from the trailer."
Brent Sauble - Willow Park, Texas

"I purchased the Lock-n-Haul about four weeks ago. Since then I have towed the boat over 1500 miles and the lock-n-haul works great. I don't have to worry about the motor or steering components and it's so much easier to use than the old motor toter products available. Great product and I will continue to recommend it to others."
Ryan Phillips - Columbia, South Carolina

"The Lock-n-Haul is a well thought out and functional device. I was a little sceptical about how it "locks" the engine to boat but after watching the engine through the rear view mirror while towing, I understood. When hitting bumps or holes in the road and boat bounces, the engine doesn't move at all in relation to the boat as with the standard transom saver. It's "locked" in place and doesn't vibrate, wobble, or wiggle. And, that's a good thing."
Darrell Lehmann - Richardson, Texas

"The Lock-n-Haul works perfectly on all outboards. It is a very simple, functional device that completely stabilizes the motor."
Gary Dobyns - Yuba City, California

"The best thing I can say about the Lock-N-Haul – the boat and motor become ONE! There is absolutely no movement of my motor when stowed with the Lock-N-Haul. That is, of course, unless the boat is moving!"
Mike Kernan - Dallas, Texas

"Finally a great product to secure my Yamaha. Does the job in seconds....just as advertised."
Spiro Stamos - Cupertino, California

"I am not sure what product you are using, but you need to check out the custom transom saver product from "Lock-n-Haul"! I picked up one of these and love it! It is very simple to put on and remove and it will not damage your motor or boat. I will never go back to a traditional transom saver again. This unit also absorbs all of the shock and vibration from normal travel instead of having your lower unit risk potential damage from traditional transom savers! Check out.http//:www.locknhaul.com"
Scott Gordon - Grapevine, Texas

"I absolutely LOVE using the Lock-N-Haul. It makes my HPDI sit still on these bumpy roads here in Western North Carolina. No more pulling over to straighten the motor up, like with the old style transom saver."
Mike Stewart - Asheville, North Carolina

"This was by far one of the best purchases I have made for my boat. My engine would move from side to side even with the transom saver that came with my boat. It was also a hassle having to worry about storing the old transom saver inside my Yukon. The Lock-n-Haul is compact enough I can store it in one of the compartments in the boat. The roads are not the most forgiving in some parts of Texas but with this product you can rest assured your engine will stay in place and absorb anything the road brings you. Purchase this in confidence."
Robbie Milam - Lewisville, Texas

"I saw your booth at the Arlington Convention Center back in January. I told you then that I didn't have a boat, but that I might be buying a friend one. That's what this is for. The Lock-n-Haul beats the heck out of all of the other transom savers on the market as far as ease of use and sturdiness."
Lyndon Johnson - Fort Worth, Texas

"I have been using the Lock-N-Haul device for over 2 years now and love it! It is so convenient, light weight and easy to stow that I couldn't imagine going back to the old style transom saver. I also like the fact that going down the road I'm not watching my engine bouncing all over the place wearing out my bushings and loosening my transom bolts. I'm a sold customer!"
Andy Caldwell - Plantersville, Texas

"Not only is the lock-n-haul effective and does what it claims to do, but the convenience of putting it on and taking it off is worth the price alone. I am glad I am not pulling and tugging on my old transom saver to release it from my lower unit anymore as I would get road grime and grease all over my hands. I like how it stores right in my boat."
Rob Romaguera - Mansfield, Texas

"Only had the Lock-n-Haul for short while but seems to be working fine. The price was great compared to the other brands."
Dan Lee -Yuba City, California

"The Lock-n-Haul device is the best piece of equipment I've used to lock my motor down for traveling. It's light and small enough to fit in the back compartment of my boat while fishing. In the past, I've had to use 3 & 4 foot long motor toters which are long & bulky and I had to always store these in my vehicle because they could fit in any of my boat's compartments. The motor toter also scars your lower unit and removes the paint. I'm a guide on Lake Fork and everyone who has seen my Lock-n-Haul device has been impressed."
